Etude House - BB Magic Cream

Recently, I headed down to Etude House to stock up on my sunblock lotion.
I ended up getting more than I originally planned...

I was tempted to try the BB magic Fresh Cool Mousse and also the BB Magic cream.

So I ended up getting both.

Upon spending a certain amount, they will give some freebies.

I ended up getting this clear file of Lee Min Ho (there were 3 designs to choose from),
a pack of Green Tea Cleansing Tissue and soft toy cat?
The lady at the cashier actually showed me that upon pressing on the right feet of the cat, you can record anything and when you pressed the left feet, the recorded message will be played.

Realising that the lady at the cashier was a korean, I actually attempted to try out what I have learned...

ME : 한구사람....

(Before I could finish my sentence... )

Lady : 네.. (with a beaming smile)

Thereafter she passed me my bag of purchases and 감사합니다 to me...

Though with my current standard, I'm way faraway from making a proper conversation.

But it was a cheap thrill for me that at least someone understand what I was trying to say. lol..

(I always thought I sound weird and way off in korean thus it was difficult to understand what I was trying to say...)

SS501, 5 new songs from 2nd album @ Seoul Concert ~

SS501、ソウルコンサートで2nd新曲の中から5曲公開



男性グループSS501がアジアツアーソウルコンサートで、8月リリース予定の2ndアルバム収録曲の中から5曲を公開する。

SS501の所属事務所は「8月1日と2日の両日、ソウルオリンピック公園体操競技場で開かれるアジアツアーソウルコンサートで正規2集収録曲の中から5曲を公開して、この内タイトル曲と後続曲に内定した曲が含まれている」と明らかにした。また「SS501は現在、奨忠体育館で本舞台と同等の舞台を設置して公演リハーサル中で、公演前まで新曲が流出しないよう徹底的に保安を維持しながら演習している」と付け加えた。

今回の公演はSS501のデビュー以来初めて開かれるアジアツアーで、ファンを近くに感じられる公演にしたいというSS501メンバーらの意見を最大限反映し、客席に突き出した舞台を最大限活用してどの客席からもメンバーの姿を近くで見られるように構成する計画。

SS501 will be performing 5 new songs from their 2nd album (set to be released in August.) during the Seoul concert.

The 5 songs will include the title song and also coupling song. Currently SS501 are in the midst of rehearsing for the concert and they even setup the same stage as it would in the stadium for them to rehearsal. From now till the start of the concert, they have tightened their security to prevent the leakage of the new songs.

Since their debut, this is their 1st Asia Tour.
SS501 members have mentioned that they would like to be nearer to the fans thus they are planning to have th stage stretch out to the audience area so that the fans will also get to see them at a nearer distance.


I'm looking forward to the new songs though...
The recent solo collection songs were quite nice and there were quite alot of news mentioning that they had put so much effort into this 2nd album in choosing songs etc.

Cher 09-10 Catalogue

I always have a thing for 付録.
I ended up buying lots of magazine...

Next week, Cher is coming out with their new catalogue..
Together with the magazine... it comes with 2 tote bags!
A small and a medium size..
It was stated that this will be the last time giving out the tote bags but I have my doubts.
I wonder what they would come up next...



Time to head down to the local store to make a reservation.
Though usually there is always leftover stocks.
Previous edition are still available...

Korean Food Feasting ~

Recently I have been feasting on 韓国料理...
The good part about visiting authentic resturants are the side dishes..

I have no idea what that's called in english.





I decide to try out the kimchi chige.
Hot and spicy to my liking.



After the meal, this cracker sprinkled with sugar and tea was served.
I have no idea what tea that is but the taste was kinda extreme and I was unable to take it.

A week later, I visited another restaurant.

Again, トッポギ.
This time, it was rather dry and I'm surprised to find dumplings and eggs in it.
It was not that spicy either.



Had kimchi chige again.. while my friend has ビビンバ (bibimbap?)
All these names are getting on me and I only know what it is called in Japanese.. >_<
Sad to say, the kimchi chige is a bit oily and it ain't spicy as I expected it to be.
I would prefer the one that I first had. The layer of oil floating just ruined everything.

Zumreed ZHP-005 Headphones ~

Finally with the help of a friend, I went ahead and got the headphones..

Surprisingly, it turns out fine for me..

Well... not totally... as my ears was hurting a little after a while..

But that was due to the piercing I had...

I was being doubted on getting this headphones and choosing this color.

For those who know me, would know my fav standard colors.

But reason for the headphones...

Alright.. I confessed...

Last, which is actually the first time I came across it...

It was in "someone's" bag...

Headphones...

Recently, I have been "headphones shopping" online.
I have always been an "inner earphones" person as the normal ones doesn't work with my "special ears"...

But I have the tendency of blasting my music and at this rate, my ears gonna be gone soon.
So I thought of getting headphones though I ain't sure if it fits me either.
The ones you get on the flights sux like hell but I give it the benefit of doubt since one can't expect better headphones from inflight.

After doing lots of readups, I came across a few brands to my likings, mix-style and zumreed.

For mix-style, seems like a lot of korean celebrities have been using it.
But I'm really not into the "star" design and most of the reviews found saying the sound ain't good. Though there are also some which commented how fabulous they were...

After some consideration, I decided to go with zumreed..

In case you are wondering, zumreed ain't from Korea but from Japan.
Though I must say the korean site had better photos of it than the Japan ones.

Boys Over Flowers Japan Premium Event

プレミアムイベントにSS501とT-maxの出演が決定！

これまで多数のお問い合わせを頂いておりました「花より男子～Boys Over Flowers」プレミアムイベントへの出演者ですが、SS501とT-maxの出演が決定いたしました。
今年4月にJCBホールにて開催された日本放送記念イベントでは、SS501、T-maxともにドラマ挿入歌を熱唱、会場を熱狂させました。今回の出演でも前回と同様挿入歌で盛り上げてくれることはもちろん、新曲も披露してくれるかも！？　　

This is the time when I feel glad that I understand Japanese.
If only Korean were that easy.. (-_-;)
Basically, it just says that SS501 and T-max will be attending this event.
A month ago, the official Japan website has posted saying that due to their concert, they will not be attending. I suppose that affected some of the sales. lol..
But with this new announcement, I forsee that the tickets should be sold out soon..
Lucky for the Japanese fans who get such meetings/events.
Tempting but will have to give this a miss as I'll be still stuck in the sunny island.. (-_-;)

By the way, the event is on 6th Sept. (*^_^*)

Korean Online Portals

Recently I have been spending time on this particular site...

I have always been a big fan of Yahoo Auctions in Japan.

I have heard of Gmarket for quite some time but never bother to venture into it as I wasn't into anything korean. But ever since I started my lessons, I started to venture into korean related sites. Surprisingly, alot of items in here are a steal!! It took me a while to learn navigating as I had to go through some tutorials I found online. Even though its "in English" but the contents etc are still in korean. (-_-;)

Other than the gmarket, I even went to the extend of signing up with some of the "popular" korean sites. Such as ...

Daum is one of the popular web portal which offers free web-based email, messaging service, forums etc. Sigining up with Daum is a lil troublesome as you have to answer their automated call and listen to the number code(in korean) and enter it online for verification. Plus you have to send in a copy of you identification card to them too.

One thing with korean web portals, is that you need to key in the ID number or in my case, for foreigners, you will need to send in some identification to them.

The next one that I sign up with is

Cyworld, a social networking website where the "minihompy" which includes a guestbook, message boards, photos etc are popular among the koreans. Similar with daum, I have to go searching for tutorials on signing up before getting my account.

Lastly I thought since I have sign up for the above, I might as well sign up with this too..

Another one of the popular search portal which also provide free web-based emails etc. After reading so much tutorials for the above, signing up for naver wasn't of much problem.

Due to my limitations with the language, I'm still unable to fully utilise these websites.

This is also the time when I felt that the amount of korean is overwhelming that I start to rely on the online translators. They work wonders..

The online translators to english doesn't make much sense and this is the time when I'm greatful to my Japanese. It really work wonders and most of the sentences makes more sense.

I might elaborate more when I have the time to explore around daum, cyworld or naver.

Well, the name come from mine and "someone else" .. lol..
I have no idea what to use so I just thought of using both of our last names.. XD
They sound the same but spelt differently..
As of now, I ain't really a fan of his.. yet... lol..
I'm more into the Japanese scene.. and I have practically no idea on the Korean side.
But since I have stepped onto the path of Korean language, I thought it would be a great idea to have someone to concentrate on to improve my studies.
It works well when I'm studying Japanese so I suppose this might work for the Hangul too...lol.

==== Jun or Joong ?? ====
I thought I should have something related to me. lol..
So I choose "Jun", because it's part of my name.
Coincidentally, most of the artiste I have interest have a "Jun" in their names as well.
In this case, it's just the same pronounciation.. (^_^;)
Like everyone, I came across him while watching Hana Yori Dango.
But at that time, the guy acting as "Sojiro" was the one who caught my attention.. lol..
Maybe I'll put him up for my next header pic.. XP
Anyway.... I went looking for more info but somehow there are more info of "Rui" than "Sojiro".
So I ended up reading more on "Rui".. and his group...
Seems like they already had some activties while I was in Japan but I suppose I'm too occupied with the Japanese scene to notice them. lol..

==== Hangul ====
I seldom watch Korean dramas, as I never like the way they sound..
So I pretty selective when I do watch...
While watching Hana Yori Dango.. it just dawned on me that I had enough of not being able to understand and relying on the subtitles. And some of the subtitles are probably not accurate in the translation... >_<
I had studied Hangul for half a year in Japan. But I just slept throughout the lessons as I really have no interest and could not understand at all...

Nothing went into my head... but at least she passed me and I got my credits.. XP
So I went on researching on schools that are available for Hangul courses and after deciding on one, I signed up for the next upcoming course....
