The purpose of this blog was to log down my studying.
But now it seems more like a fan gal blog...
Though I ain't sure the direction of this blog to be... lol..
So in order to bring it back to track, maybe I should start on something related....
Korean Language Schools.
This information can be found practically everywhere..
But I thought I just narrow it down and list it down here.
There's quite a number of schools in Singapore that provide Korean Language.
But the more well-knowns are these 2.
1. The Singapore Korean School
74 Lim Ah Woo Road
Singapore 438134
Tel: 6741 0778
Fax: 6741 1321
Situated near City Plaza, around 10 mins walk from Paya Lebar Station.
Every year they have 4 intakes.
Their terms are as follows :
13 Jan 2009 – 24 Mar 2009
14 Apr 2009 – 18 Jun 2009
14 Jul 2009 – 17 Sep 2009
6 Oct 2009 – 10 Dec 2009
Lessons are conducted twice a week on every Tuesday and Thursday, 7pm-9pm.
This is one of the main reasons why most people choose the other schools as twice a week is too hectic and tiring.
2. NUS Extension
9 Penang Road
#12-01, Park Mall (opposite Dhoby Ghaut MRT)
Singapore 238 459
Tel: 6338 8400
Fax: 6339 4560
Opening Hours : Mon - Fri (8.30am - 6.00pm), Sat (8.30am - 1.00pm)
They have 7 intakes in a year and classes are conducted once a week.
=======================
I did a search and seems like sks concentrates more on the grammar while nus ext concentrates more on conversation.
But I believe it also depends on the teaching method of each teacher.
If not wrong, both schools are using the same textbooks by Kyung Hee.
Basically it will probably take around 2 and a half years or so in order to reached the advance level.
It's a long way for me, I would say.. though I spent around the same amount of time for my Japanese. But that's a different story.. heh..
